a) (i) What is formatted input and output in C? la there anything like unformatted input/output in C? Explain.

(ii) What can we do with the help of pre-processor directive in C? (6+4=10)

b) How do you reverse a linked list? What is the difference between Absolute and Relative XPath? (4+6=10)

e) An Internet Service Provider (ISP) has the following chunk of CIDR-based IP addresses available with it:245.248.128.0/20. The ISP wants to give half of this chunk of addresses to Organization A, and a quarter to Organization B. while retaining the remaining with itself. Give a valid allocation of addresses to A and B?

d) (i) Consider a machine with 64 MB physical memory and a 32-bit virtual address space. If the page size is 4KB, what is the approximate size of the page table?

(ii) Assume a relation R(A, B, C, D) with set of functional dependencies F = {C-D, C- A, B- C). What is the candidate keys of R?            (6+4=10)

e) Explain the concept of ACID properties in DBMS? Write an algorithm to find odd occurring element in an array in a single traversal. (5+5=10)

f) Explain the concept of primary key and foreign key. What is the difference between B tree and Binary search tree?

g) What is the main result if you do not specify a doctype in an HTML page? What is the difference between HTML and HTML5? (4+6-10)

h) What are the different types of languages that are available in the DBMS?

i) Describe the Software Development Life Cycle in brief.

j) State and explain the bubble sort algorithm.

k) What is a balanced tree? What do you understand by the height of a tree? (6+4-10)

1) (i) A computer on a 10Mbps net is regulated by a token bucket. The token bucket is filled at a rate of 2Mbps. It is initially filled to capacity with 16Megabits. What is the maximum duration for which the computer can transmit at the full 10Mbps?

(ii) A file system with 300 GByte uses a file descriptor with 8 direct bloc address. 1 indirect block address and 1 doubly indirect block address. Th size of each disk block is 128 Bytes and the size of each disk block address is 8 Bytes. What is the maximum possible file size in this file system? (5+5=10)
