Breakfast is considered the first meal of the day. And it is the most important meal of the day, a good filling breakfast is essential to help us to keep us ongoing throughout the day. So we are always looking for easy healthy breakfast ideas for a better lifestyle.
Breakfast kick-starts our metabolism, helping us to burn our calories throughout the day. It gives us the energy needed to get things done and helps you to focus on your daily routine.
5 Easy and Healthy Breakfast Ideas
1. Boiled/Poached/Fried Egg and Toast:
This is one of the most simple & easy to make among many breakfast options. As the name suggests, this consists of 2 to 3 eggs, which can be either hard-boiled or poached or even fried, accompanied with 2 to 4 slices of white or whole wheat bread.
The Bread can be toasted or untoasted served with butter or jam. The benefit of this breakfast comes basically from the eggs. Eggs are a prime source of protein that is necessary for our bodies.
2. Besan Chilla:
As the name suggests, it is primarily made out of besan(gram flour). Take 2 to 3 small cups of besan in a bowl add salt, black pepper powder, whole cumin seeds, chopped onion & chilies (optional).
Add water to make a slurry. Heat it on a non-stick pan, pour little oil or butter to grease the pan, then with the help of a spoon spread the batter in the shape of a circle in the pan. Roast each side until it is properly cooked. The benefits of this tasty breakfast is that it helps to reduce diabetes & contains essential fiber.
3. Savoury Poha:
Poha or better known flattened (beaten) Indian rice is also a healthy and filling breakfast. Wash your poha two times and soak it in water for a while. Take a pan or kadai add oil or butter add few mustard seeds curry leaves(optional). Wait until it crackles then add chopped onions chilies (optional).
After that, add a little salt, black pepper, little turmeric powder, chopped tomatoes. Sauté for a while, then add your choice of veggies(optional) mix well, then add your soaked poha mix well, add little water so that the poha doesn’t break & sticks. Before taking it off the stove garnish it with coriander & curry leaves(optional).
The benefit of this breakfast is it helps to cut down fat, rich in Iron & low in Calories.
Oats can be served sweet or savory both the options are good for health. For the sweet version, take a kadai add your oats. Roast it for a while, then add warm milk and then add sugar accordingly. Mix it well and cook it for a while. Best enjoyed hot.
For the savory version, take a kadai add oil or butter add chopped onions & chilies (optional) after that add salt, black pepper, little turmeric powder. Then add chopped tomatoes. Sauté for a while, then add your choice of veggies(optional) add oats mix it well, add little water so that the oats doesn’t stick. Before taking it off the stove garnish with coriander & little butter.

Smoothies can be a very tasty refreshing breakfast. You would need a blender in which pour yogurt add the fruits of your choice add sugar or honey mix well that’s about it enjoy. Smoothies contain lots of protein nutrients.
