The much-awaited OnePlus 8T launch has been finally confirmed. Leaks and rumors about OnePlus 8T launch were circulating all over the internet and social media platforms for the past two months. Although OnePlus hasn’t confirmed the specs and price officially yet, for which we will have to wait till the official launch.
OnePlus launches its number series at the beginning of the second quarter each year, and the “T” version of that same number series comes around the beginning of the last quarter of that year. In this precarious year where almost every brand delayed their scheduled launches, but OnePlus is keeping up with their preordained timeline.
OnePlus 8 & 8 Pro came out in April, and OnePlus also entered the premium midrange market this year with their new “Nord” line up in July. And speculations about the OnePlus 8T series must be picking up speed around this time.

What is officially confirmed about the OnePlus 8T Launch so far?
OnePlus has teased the landing page of OnePlus 8T on Amazon and revealed on the 14th of October 7:30 pm the phone will be unveiled.
OnePlus has also confirmed on the official landing page that 8T would come with a 120Hz refresh rate and 65-watt fast charging.
The OnePlus 8T Launch Specs Speculations
Display & Fingerprint Sensor
8T would sport a 2.5D curved screen that would have Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It would be a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and comes along with an under-display fingerprint sensor and a single camera hole-punch cut out.
The phone would have a 32MP single front camera, and at the back, a quad-camera set up with a 48MP main sensor, 16MP ultra-wide sensor, 5MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The biggest surprise is the phone is rumored to pack the Snapdragon 865 processor. Whereas OnePlus usually packs the latest chipset in their phones, and Snapdragon 865+ is already in the market.
OnePlus 8T would come with Oxygen OS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box.
Battery & Charging
8T would pack a 4500Mah battery with 65 Watt fast charging that would charge the battery from 0% to 100% in around 30 minutes.
The phone is speculated to come with two color variants “Aqua Marine Green” and “Lunar Silver”.
Probable competitors of OnePLus 8T
8T is going toe to toe with Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, which was launched in the last week of September, and the iPhone 12 that will be launching on 13th October.
Keeping in mind about the competitive market, OnePlus should be aggressive with its pricing. As Galaxy S20 FE already came out with good pricing and specifications with a range of color variants, and Apple is supposed to launch an iPhone 12 Mini that would be priced around OnePlus 8T too. If rumors are correct OnePlus 8T could be priced around 45k in India.
Things we might not see in 8T
8T might not have a telephoto lens, unlike its predecessor OnePlus 7T.
The phone would not have any IP rating as cost-cutting measures. There will be no headphone jack, which is not much of a surprise. No wireless charging this time either.
